Li Ming is a third-year student. Dahai praised them with "both tall and handsome" (又高又帅) and "both smart and hardworking" (又聪明又努力). Later Dahai also said "how could someone both hardworking and smart lose?" — expressing that their winning the competition was inevitable.

The new teacher answers students' questions with a smile, always enthusiastic and never annoyed; they say she is both young and enthusiastic.

Many guests came and gathered together; they got hungry. Xiaolin ran to the nearby supermarket and bought two big cakes. The guests all stood eating cake, both laughing and making noise — very lively. They were also holding photos and chatting with laughter, both joyful and unforgettable.
