Xiao Hong, where do you think we should travel to during the summer holiday?

我觉得去云南最好！那里风景最美。

Wǒ juéde qù Yúnnán zuì hǎo! Nàlǐ fēngjǐng zuì měi.

I think going to Yunnan is the best! The scenery there is the most beautiful.

好啊！我们可以一起去。你也喜欢运动吗？

Hǎo a! Wǒmen kěyǐ yīqǐ qù. Nǐ yě xǐhuān yùndòng ma?

Great! We can go together. Do you also like sports?

喜欢！我最喜欢踢足球。为什么你问这个？

Xǐhuān! Wǒ zuì xǐhuān tī zúqiú. Wèishénme nǐ wèn zhège?

Yes! I like playing football the most. Why are you asking this?

关于小狗

Zhè zhī xiǎogǒu zuì kě'ài le! Tā jiào shénme míngzi?

This puppy is the cutest! What is its name?

主人 (Dog owner)

它叫球球。它很喜欢运动，每天都要出来跑步。

Tā jiào Qiúqiú. Tā hěn xǐhuān yùndòng, měitiān dōu yào chūlái pǎobù.

Its name is Qiuqiu. It loves sports; every day it needs to come out for a run.

为什么叫球球？是因为它也喜欢踢球吗？

Wèishénme jiào Qiúqiú? Shì yīnwèi tā yě xǐhuān tī qiú ma?

Why is it called Qiuqiu? Is it because it also likes kicking balls?

主人

对！它的眼睛又大又圆，像两个球，所以叫球球！

Duì! Tā de yǎnjing yòu dà yòu yuán, xiàng liǎng gè qiú, suǒyǐ jiào Qiúqiú!

That's right! Its eyes are big and round, like two balls, so we call it Qiuqiu!

小明觉得暑假最好的事情就是去旅游，所以他要和朋友一起去云南。

Xiǎo Míng juéde shǔjià zuì hǎo de shìqíng jiùshì qù lǚyóu, suǒyǐ tā yào hé péngyǒu yīqǐ qù Yúnnán.

Xiao Ming feels that traveling is the best thing to do during the summer holiday, so he wants to go to Yunnan with his friends.

他也很喜欢运动，为什么呢？因为运动让他觉得快乐。

Tā yě hěn xǐhuān yùndòng, wèishénme ne? Yīnwèi yùndòng ràng tā juéde kuàilè.

He also likes sports very much. Why? Because sports make him feel happy.

小明最喜欢的运动是踢足球，他买了一双新球鞋，要在旅游的时候用。

Xiǎo Míng zuì xǐhuān de yùndòng shì tī zúqiú, tā mǎi le yī shuāng xīn qiúxié, yào zài lǚyóu de shíhòu yòng.

Xiao Ming's favourite sport is football. He bought a new pair of football boots to use during the trip.

在公园里，他看到一只小狗。它的眼睛最大最圆，小明觉得它非常可爱。

Zài gōngyuán lǐ, tā kàndào yī zhī xiǎogǒu. Tā de yǎnjing zuì dà zuì yuán, Xiǎo Míng juéde tā fēicháng kě'ài.

In the park, he saw a puppy. Its eyes were the biggest and roundest; Xiao Ming felt it was extremely cute.

小明希望自己也可以有一只新的小狗，和它一起去旅游，一起运动，这是他最开心的事！

Xiǎo Míng xīwàng zìjǐ yě kěyǐ yǒu yī zhī xīn de xiǎogǒu, hé tā yīqǐ qù lǚyóu, yīqǐ yùndòng, zhè shì tā zuì kāixīn de shì!

Xiao Ming wishes he could also have a new puppy, to travel together with it, to do sports together — that would be the happiest thing for him!
